Historic Union Cemetery Excursion

On Thursday, September 22, Clare Gardella will meet Members and Volunteers at the entrance of the historic Union Cemetery, 300 Woodside Road, Redwood City. The cemetery is not only a California Historic Landmark but also listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Kathy Klebe will be our docent for this very interesting visit, telling us facts and stories about this Civil War burial site. Many Redwood City and San Mateo County founders as well as Civil War veterans are interrd here. Following the tour, for those interested, we will meet up the road at Harry's Hofbrau on El Camino for lunch at your own expense.

Registration is required. Please call the VSMC office at 650-260-4569 or send an email to info@villagesofsmc.org no later than September 19. Be sure to indicate if you need a ride to the cemetery and if you will be joining the group for lunch. Masks are optional for this outing.
