Who We Are

We are a group of local residents with the mission of helping each other to age in place.  We do this by providing access to support services that help people engage in community activities and continue to live independently. 

We are a membership-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving on the Peninsula from Millbrae to Menlo Park and on the Coastside from Pacifica to Pescadero, including Skyline.

Volunteer Manager Job Opening



Villages of San Mateo County (VSMC) is seeking a 20 hour a week Volunteer Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of our volunteer support system. This role will work collaboratively with volunteer leaders in our three villages (Sequoia, Mid-Peninsula and Villages of the Coastside) to amplify their impact.
The Volunteer Manager is being hired to:
  • Increase our volunteer pool by expanding outreach and recruitment efforts;
  • Amplify volunteer participation and retention by strengthening support systems and appreciation for volunteer efforts;
  • Cultivate volunteer leadership and build a bench of future leaders through closer
    relationships and understanding of volunteer skills and interests;
  • Build a volunteer community and connection to VSMC and appreciation for their efforts so
    our volunteers’ experience and satisfaction is maximized.
